Pre-Cleanse Instructions
Okay, let's do this! By committing to this cleanse, you are treating your mind & body to wellness and taking a step toward becoming your best self! With our guidance, you will get the most out of your journey, achieving better results and a smoother experience. Here are some healthy habits that we recommend implementing 3 - 5 days before you start the cleanse so be prepared to feel amazing...!
JUMPSTART THE PURIFYING PROCESS
Begin each day with a glass of warm water combined with the juice of one lemon and a quarter teaspoon of cayenne (optional). This supports the detoxification process by alkalizing the body.
HYDRATE
Make an extra effort to hydrate throughout your day with non-carbonated water (at least 64 oz/day). Drinking water helps set the stage for a smoother cleanse because it allows your cells to eliminate toxins more easily, decreases tiredness, and reduces food cravings.
OUR NO-NOs
- Alcohol.
- Nicotine.
- Caffeinated and diuretic drinks (green tea is a good substitute for coffee leading up to your cleanse).
- Meat and poultry.
- Fish and seafood.
- Dairy and egg products.
- Sugar.
- Processed foods.
- Wheat.
- Refined carbohydrates (bread, white rice, pasta, etc).
Anything that you can eliminate from your diet ahead of time will make it easier once your cleanse begins! If giving up wheat completely feels too drastic, try to stay away from refined starches like white bread, white rice, and pasta. This may sound like a lot to give up but your body will thank you for it in the end! Plus there are lots of other cleanse-friendly foods to eat (see below)...
INCORPORATE THE FOLLOWING:
- Fruits/Vegetables.
- Smoothies (try to keep it green with vegetables like kale or spinach).
- Gluten-free grains (like quinoa, amaranth, and millet).
- Steamed vegetables.
- Dairy-free soups.
- Salads.
- Water and herbal teas.
